2005 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon

Sept. 5, 2005 - Come rain, sleet or Hurricane Katrina, the Jerry Lewis Labor Day MDA Telethon goes on. This year, additional funds were solicited for Katrina's victims. Since Tony Orlando is the perennial New York host, Toni Wine and the Lefty Brothers Band were kept very busy.  Due to the way the telethon is split among several cities, some of the band's performances were only seen in the New York Tri-State area, including Toni doing "Groovy Kind Of Love."

Emmy winning hairdresser Diane D'Agostino, who works with Regis and Kelly, as well as WWOR News anchors Russ & Monica, gets Toni ready.

Diane tries her luck with Kerry Cole!

You can always count on Tony's Troops for support.

Rick Sheppard of The Drifters with Tony O. In one of life's little twists, Rick cut the first version of "Candida," only to have his record company tell him it wasn't a hit!

Jim Shelton, co-host Russ Salzberg & Johnny Petillo. Johnny P., a former Dupree and a popular solo artist around the Tri-State area, often joins Tony O. on East Coast dates to add a touch of Doo Wop.

Johnny P. shares a moment with Bobby Valli. Frankie's brother, who's working with Joey Dee & The Starlighters (as is former Rascal David Brigatti).

Our heroine, giving a shout out to Kerry Cole. Did he do something right or wrong?

Tracy Cole (r), his wife Cindy and comic legend Sammy Shore (and we'll forgive him for Paulie).
